Mia Dirir (pronounced ‘di-rare’) is a Meisner trained, American actress of Somali, East African descent. She is a member of both SAG-AFTRA and the prestigious SAG-AFTRA LA Conservatory.
Currently starring as reporter "Rebecca" in the heartfelt holiday film "The Great Town Miracle" on Amazon and captivating audiences as "Tiana" in the short film "Mind Over Fatter," showcased at the Academy Award–qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival, Dirir’s love of acting began while playing the character Beneatha in a production of the stage play A Raisin in the Sun. She has also appeared in productions of Bye Bye Birdie and A Streetcar Named Desire. As time went on, her passion for the craft remained, which led to her deciding to pursue an acting career. After receiving her master’s degree, she studied under Nancy Chartier and currently trains with renowned Los Angeles-based acting studio Graham Shiels Studio.
