MIA DIRIR
Mia Dirir (pronounced ‘dih-rare’) is an American actress and singer from Dallas, Texas. She is of Somali, East African descent. Dirir’s love of acting began while playing the character Beneatha ‘Bennie’ Young in a local production of the stage play ‘A Raisin in the Sun’. She has also appeared in theater productions of "Bye Bye Birdie" and "A Streetcar Named Desire". As the years went on, her passion for the craft remained, which led to her deciding to pursue an acting career. She trains with renowned Texas-based acting coach Nancy Chartier and attended the University of Texas at Arlington and Texas Wesleyan University where she earned Bachelor's and Master's degrees, respectively. She is repped by SAG-AFTRA franchised agency The Clutts Agency, Inc and can most recently be seen portraying "Madison" in the upcoming short film "Stolen Beauty" directed by Sophia L. Ellis.
